It all depends on what you get out of it. The phrase itself is actually from a longer quote of his. The full quote reads as, "At fifteen my heart was set on learning; at thirty I stood firm; at forty I had no more doubts; at fifty I knew the mandate of heaven; at sixty my ear was obedient; at seventy I could follow my heart's desire without transgressing the law." What this means is that, he is doing a retrospective of his life. So what I take from is that, at seventy I don't have to worry about transgressing as I would be comfortable with how I live my life without worrying what others may think. But everyone is different.
What is he trying to say?
